This is the rebirth mechanism in Theravada...It has nothing to do with sins. Karma is not even one of the 12 links.

If Theravada is important to this discussion, could you please provide a few sentences describing it first.
As said before, this thread is about Buddhism. And karma IS a huge part of Buddhism. Hello, the Dalai Lama references it all the time. Have you ever seen the film, "The Unmistaken Child"? Kinda crazy stuff there.

Karma is "not a huge part of Buddhism," let alone the pop understanding of karma. Karma just means action is Sanskrit. And thats what it simply means in Buddhism.
