Yes, he is very strong guy, he is almost 60 and can do a 'muscle up' (youtube it if you don't know what it is). I enjoy cardio mostly.
You have to be extreme if you want to win.
That is a good attitude if you want to cripple yourself or die. Now, once again. No one here is suggesting you get fat again. And no one here is judging you for wanting to have a nicer looking body. But pushing yourself to any extreme is a good way to hurt yourself.
The best thing for you OR ANYONE to do is to follow a reasonable exercise and diet program BASED on what a doctor says.
I am quite sure that pro wrestler who killed his family thought his "extreme" of steroid use was ok.
And I am quite sure even Mohammed Ali is enjoying now all those head blows he suffered in boxing.
No one is suggesting you not be happy with yourself. But you are in a world of future pain if you don't loose your ego and deal with reality the way it is.
Being fit is one thing, being an idiot is another.
Well, I am curious about getting a pro contract in athletics- it seems like a lot of fun. Whether I will take steroids or not is for me to decide when it comes to that time. I'd rather not of course for health reasons. Still undecided...
