It might make you laugh, but it's perfectly true. The fossil evidence for evolution is vast (despite what creationist websites try to tell you). Of course, genetics is far better evidence for evolution, but the fossils still play a key role.

Indeed. Evolution can even make predictions. If certain fossils suggest an in between species at a certain time in the rock strata, they have gone looking for them and actually found them. That's how wonderful the theory of evolution is.
