this is contentious point with me and with many other legitimate debaters on this site.
Although rules of debate do not carry over into the general conversations of the various forums, there is a certain understanding among thread participants that copying and pasting large list of websites in no way constitutes evidence of a claim.
For instance, if an atheist says to a theist,
"You want evidence for the big bang, go visit National Geographic, Wikipedia and Discovery.com, you'll find your evidence." Even if I agree with that atheist, that is proof of nothing and ANYONE can can go and make claims about nearly anything and find a dozen websites that back their particular brand of idiocy. Likewise, a theist can do what you just did. Hell, I can make ridiculous claims about cold fusion and then offer you a link to a massive database for theoretical quantum mechanics that I know you're never going to read through in a week's time, let alone in the 10 minutes you allotted yourself to be on Atheist Forums this evening.
This is a fucking bull shit response - for anyone to make. No one wants to peruse through endless hours of website information just to see if what you said is legitimate. Drich, if you want to quote from website, no problem, do quote from it - I do it all the time, but don't you fucking list a dozen god damn websites and then sneer about how you have all the evidence in the world. As usual, you fail.
(and that really should go for everyone)
