Our problem is we package islam, like one could package christianity into one single belief system.
However, as we know, there are many types of christians, some more fundamentalist than others.... I'm sure it would be possible to find some christian preacher saying almost the same things as these imams.
Luckily, the fundamentalists are a minority... sadly, a very vocal minority. They're a minority in Europe, at least.... I don't know about the US, but when I read that almost 50% of the population believes in creationism, I can't say they're a minority.
