So, apparently, I'm supposed to introduce myself here. I'm not too sure what to say, so I'll just waffle away for a sentence or two...
The reason I came to these forums (via Google) is that I seem to have spent too much of me time recently rolling my eyes at religion and situations caused by or related to religion. (When I say religion, I'm talking about supernatural religion: belief in a non-existent and/or unproven higher power.)
Now, I'd never go out of my way to offend people, but, on the other hand, I'm not willing to stifle my opinions and observations just because someone might take offence. Unfortunately, it seems it's impossible to have a conversation about atheism with a religious person without causing them offence. Are the views of supernatural believers so unsteady that they're too scared to listen to viewpoints from the opposite side of the argument? (Apparently so.)
I recently wrote a "rant" (not really a rant, just a few observations) on a Christianity-based board, but it was swiftly deleted. That might say a lot about my views and character! I'd post it here, but I'm not sure that's the sort of thing to include in my introductory message!?
