I'm anti superstitious, for example, and I find my faith strengthens that.
As an atheist I didn't rule out the supernatural. But again, I am more strongly convicted that the supernatural possibilities of personal experiences were mere coincidence given my belief in God.
As a christian its obvious you would have to believe in the supernatural, if you believe in the bible that is, god turns sticks into snakes, makes virgins pregnant and so on, those things are outside the laws of nature as we know it.
Not all Christians accept those myths as fact. Evangelicals and fundamentalists do, but more liberal believers see them as simply myths meant to teach moral or "spiritual" lessons.
