Whoever's best for the job, that's the one that gets to sit in the centre seat. I have noticed, however, that women can usually get away with far more than we mere blokes ever could, be it chatting up chosen sexual partners or getting total strangers to part with cash. Maybe it's just something from my experience; as someone pointed out to me, the fine line between being flirty and being creepy depends on how hot you are.
Not to teach anyone how to abuse it (shhh), but if you're 'shy' and have 'that concerned look' and you first state a desperate need of cash and then 'oh no, I'm sure I'll manage' (here's the money), and make sure you are 'likable' to them ('hotness' helps make this step ridiculously easy with men/lesbians, I find that talking to them a lot and entertaining them helps a lot too. BE COMPASSIONATE if you expect compassion.) Your target is not men, but other women.
Happy hunting I'm an appalling person when I realize and enunciate all of the subconcious things I do... 'Be ever aware... or was it oblivious? I can never tell which'.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
