So yeah JohnV forgive me I thought you were answering yes to the misogynist question as you were a little vague. "you say misogyny, I say realist." I thought you were saying misogyny is realism.
Correct me if that's actually what you believe, but I had pegged you as a level headed guy after the other thread I encountered you in, so this thread threw me through a loop. Are you aware that if you're being sarcastic you need to note so with an emoticon or something? Otherwise your assertion will be taken at face value?
I'm happy to hear that your wife is your best friend and trusted advisor. I too am someone's best friend and trusted advisor
Please explain what you feel the woman's "place" is in relation to her husband? And how do you balance that with what the bible claims she should be?
1. If she wanted to be a preacher, would you be by her side in that endeavor?
2. Is she your advisor yet you're the final word on the matter?
3. Do you really think women's place is in the kitchen or making babies? (you didn't answer me directly on that one, either)
4. If she ran for congress would you have any objections?
5. If she bought land would you feel she was out of her realm?
6. Do you hold scorn for women in general for man's Fall?
7. Do you feel women are inept and require men to keep them on the right path?
8. Do you believe that if she divorced you she's going to hell?
9. Do you agree or disagree with the bible regarding these claims? And if so how does that translate to your marriage?
Forgive the invasiveness, I know someone who answers yes to all of the above and his wife was his best friend and trusted advisor, as well.

Bible Wrote:"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." (I Corinthians 11:3)
"For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." (I Corinthians 11:8-9)

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
