RE: Religious people have you ever tried praying?

I have prayed often, and recieved many responses. Once I prayed and asked God for a car, and two days later, I got a 2002 Toyotta Corrolla. Other times I have prayed, asking God for different things. I asked God if I should change my name from Jay to Joseph and a prophet who didn't know my name or anything about me said "your name is Joseph". I simply asked him to pray for me, I didn't tell him I had had the experience the day before. About a week later a girl walked up to me and said that she had also been given that name of Joseph for me.
I prayed other times "show me your glory", following Moses in the book of Exodus. I received visions that I could see of all these different events in my life. I saw thousands of images. I also met up with a lady who was a prophet. She told me that God was showing me images of my past and where i had failed him.
I have had many, many examples of answered prayer. I could go on and on. I would pray and ask God questions saying "show me this is in the Bible" and God would respond.
I used to spend 30 hours a week praying and seeking God. I would go in the presence of God which I could tangibly feel. I have seen the presence of God. I have made the presence of God the center of my life for different periods.

The one thing that I have noticed is that I only have answered prayer when I obey God, usually. It talks about in Isaiah how peoples sins separate them from God. God cannot be "scientifically" disproved through testing prayer with impure motives and sin in the heart. God hears peoples prayers when people listen to God. God will never reveal himself to people that treat seeking him as being something trivial. He responds to the people that care enough to put their whole lives on the line, that are ready to leave all their sin, and the people that diligently pursue in.
