there is no "North Korea" there is only Korea, the term North Korea comes from years of propaganda against the republic of korea. Only Americans could create such a massive propaganda effort that it actualy renames an entire country.....maybe in 60 years Iraq will be called "the land of evil do-ers".......

Both countries call themselves Korea, but since there are two different forms of state and since "The Republic of Korea" and "The Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea" are to long to spell, one simply chose to use the "North and South" wording.

Just like here we use to refer to a "East Germany" and a "West Germany"

The southern peninsula is still occupied by the United States a country that has since fought inn over 50 wars, while Korea hasn't invaded a single one.

The south is an independant democracy which determines it`s own path and elects it`s own leaders, which sometimes even disagree with US policies such as Kim Dae-jung who refused to join Bush`s agressive foreign policie and approached the North with offers of peace and economic exchange.

The troops in the Korean peninsular are stationed there for the same reason as they are stationed in Germany, Italy and other countries.

They are stationed there because of bilateral agreements.

Just like Russia has troops in Syria, Iran in Lebanon and Syria, France in Ivory Coast and Niger, Kenia in Somalia and Congo.

we have guantanamo bay, and countless secret prisons where uncountable amounts, maybe millions of people, are being tortured on a daily basis, yet we concentrate on unsavory working conditions in Korea?

And hy do you concentrate on Korea? Because of a bilateral agreement with it. South Korea wants US troops there, just like Germany wants US troops in Rammstein.

You are aware of the fact that North Korea is as socialist as Saudi Arabia is secular.

A single family lives in wealth and luxury while the rest of the country rots with starvation in mean housing or concentration camps.
