I really see no difference with this. The Devil was suppose to suggest you bad thoughts but was never suppose to have control over your decision...now I realize either bad thoughts come from within the mind or mind/soul...and a lot of it is enticed by society/TV/Music/culture...we still have to battle with the lower self, it's just that Satan is not part of the equation. So what's the difference if bad thoughts are coming from biological/cultural forces or if they are coming from the lower self in the soul/mind or if they are coming from soul/mind + devil? It's not like we have full control over all what we are going to get suggested. We might see a hot women and feel enticed to her even if we are married, we then have to resist temptation. What's the difference if that thought comes from within us but is not within our control or from Satan?
We have to resist each and for both we have to learn to ignore bad suggestions.
