When I was an atheist, the worst thing for me was waking up and feeling like life had no meaning or value, and feeling depressed, really depressed and not having anything to live for or care about, and realizing as soon as I did start to care about or hope for anything, it was worthless and meaningless, had no value other than to serve the society that I lived in which I care for very little.
