I understand exactly how you feel! I'm right there with you. However, my parents don't force me fortunatly every single time. We only go on special events if someone invites us. Such as Christmas. However, I just have to stand there awkwardly. Majority of the time I am sleeping or on my phone. This is probably disrespectful to a lot of people at the church, but I'm not going to sit there for a couple of hours listening to something that doesn't make sense to me. I do stand up when they tell us to and bow my head out of respect but I'm not going to pray and raise my hands with the rest of them.
LOL.
I personally just have to deal with it but everyone's advice was right. You should just ask uncomfortable questions haha. Today I was talking to my mom at lunch and she was telling me "You don't have to see God, he exists in your heart. The faith for God gives you the personal values you have today." I said, "So you can't have personal values without believing in a God?" And she got kind of uncomfortable, "No, you can still have values with in yourself but you need that faith." LOL. Religious people just don't even really have a something to back up what their saying. I just kind of deal with it.
