It wasn't, and that's because despite your insistence that "Libertarians aren't that way" I maintain that what has become the Libertarian base in America is fucking nuts.
I rallied against RevJ because despite disagreeing with Libertarian values, I thought he was becoming a basket case and taking his frustrations at the poor economic situation going on here in America as well as problems with his homelife out on you solely because he vehemently disagreed with you. He tried to make you out like a spider waiting in the dark to take people down, and was one of the voices raising dissent in the forum as if you had any power in the government or in his life. It was patently ridiculous and I was sad that two otherwise intelligent men were arguing over nothing, and that a formerly intelligent and good-humored man was turning into a foaming-at-the-mouth maniac over a man half his age because he had nowhere else to direct his internal rage. Don't mistake my defense as a defense of Libertarianism. I defended you because I consider you a friend and because (friend or not) I knew you were worth more than the bullshit he was slinging at you.
