Quoted here for Sae:
Quote:Since being someone in apologetics needs vast reserves of information and knowledge I think we need to have a place where we can go and get information from. So I am making this thread so that as a body, we can suggest books, articles, lectures, debates and websites to go to for information. Also, what books, articles, lectures, debates, and websites that shouldn't be used. This is so that we can all use the resorces that others use so that we can become more productive defenders of the faith. Besides books and other things, we can offer Bible verses that are helpful too.

- J. P. Holding also has a pretty solid "Apologetics Arsenal" section.

- Glen Miller, someone who I owe for my drive for an interdisciplinary approach to things. His list of books he has used is of extraordinary size, and should you find some interesting topic that you think you need to know more about, you can certainly find some titles among his horrendous list.

I really don't want to read up on their apologetic reasoning, for the reason that I don't want to be bummed again with a stupid deluge of sophistry and irrelevant logic. But others can.
PS - My favorite quote fragment from the Powerball thread:
Quote:Here is MY personal struggle. God owns ALL the money. He is the Owner
of the universe, so it is His money and we are to be good stewards of it.
I spend maybe 1 to 4 or 5 dollars a year buying occasional powerball
tickets. In the LAST year specifically...I believe I only bought 2 one dollar
tickets eight months apart.
