It would be more accurate to describe it as an attempt at artificial selection (if one were committed to describing it this way).
An attempt to isolate breeding populations either directly or indirectly through behavioral modification and suitable selection pool (provided that we as a culture or individually as parents were striving to raise our children as feminists who demand a particularly suitable mate or cannot concieve of mating with an "unsuitable" one due to convenience or availability)
