Abortion and Paternity Rights

Abortion and Paternity Rights
This is a complicated issue, however I want to see if there are any folks willing to ask the difficult question of equaity in abortions. I provded below possible solution of paternity rights of a male to some extent in the pre-natal claim to a baby. I want to make sure I am not against abortion fully, just wanting to exaimine real issues concerning it and do it with free thinking and reason.

I think the first step is to recognize that is it not the father fault that the fetus is in the females body as it does take two to tango. Once that thought process is understood we can realize this is not a simple Black and White issue. My girlfriend is in fact pro-choice (not pro-abortion) and her economic arguments in abortion and protecting the female's future are irrefutable in my book. I want to stress that I considered greatly the other side and I agree with a lot of the other side now that I understand. I also understand the physical stress, mental and financial stress (which affects the male too.) Also, concerning rape, incest and potential harmful complications (that can kill or greatly harm the female) those factors I think will and SHOULD default the choice to abort to the female.

Now the process by which a male should have a determination to fall down to several easily attainable data points. First is financial stability, can the father take care of the child monetarily and provide its needs. Second is personal mental health, is the male physiologically capable of raising the child in an emotionally healthy home. While providing intellectual and emotional stimulation according to the child’s needs. These two major factors can be determined through various already in place process. With the final one can be done through a non-bias psychologist. Now once these are established as a positive, this is where the hardest part is in fact determined. There are two paths we can take for the loss of work incurred on the female. First maybe a contracted set amount of time for the loss of wages to be reimbursed by the male through monthly installments or other agreed financial solutions. Or use funds from a government program for this reimbursement possibly social security. The physical and psychological can be easily fixed through insurance and helpful therapy (even though mental issues are still stigmatized in the US). I think if the female can be reimbursed for the sacrifice, then it is a reasonable compromise.

Now the only flaw I forsee and maybe you can help with this is if the female is adamant of not wanting to give birth. In which case for the sake of the argument let’s say it is after brain activity and proven reaction to outside stimuli. What then, is the female’s rights to be barred? I think the best solution is after all the legal reimbursement and medical care is offer through contract of the male party and she denies the claim (after a decent thought given and signed paper work) then a female might be able to carry out on her own free will. But offer suggestions if you will, I am trying for what gives progress to society. Personally I think we should have better contraceptives and birth control and this would be a none issue.
