It's impossible to prove something doesn't exist. You can't even prove unicorns, leprechauns, faeries and rillyns don't exist.
The closest you can get to "proving" god never existed is probably to just present any "evidence" that it does/did exist and point out why it isn't actually evidence till there's no evidence left to pick apart. Even then, absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence.
People will believe all kinds of shit, and nothing will convince them it's shit. We all know grown-up people who genuinely believe in horoscopes. There are people who consult psychics and believe they're actually communicating with the dead, despite being told that "psychics" are deliberately vague to begin with then go with your reactions from there. People genuinely believe they were abducted by aliens.
