Thats not actually the findings of that study.
The study was on rolling stones magazine (as a proxy for the popular media in general), and the sexualisation of males/females on the covers from 1967 to 2009 (the covers got more sexy, with women getting even more skimpy than the men)
That quote about the effects of sexualisation? She's referencing other research (though it's not cited) here, showing how her findings are relevant.
