Yes, I know, that's why it doesn't compare well with the situation at hand. A head-on collision between two vehicles each going 50 does more damage than if the same vehicles are doing 50 and 10 respectively.

Eh, once again, the comparison was with a sturdy wall, not a car travelling at 10. If you're trying to argue against the physics, you won't win. You're thinking about momentum whereas the discussion is about velocity.
