It was my error to split that thread from the HoS into R'lyeh, given the nature of the subject. Like CD said, hindsight is 20/20. Thread closed now, best thing I could've done to ameliorate my error.

Nonsense, people know going into a R'lyeh thread what to expect. If they're getting worked up... they always have the option to leave.

Edit: that's to say: so someone is taking a shot at you... so fucking what? If you don't consider their shot worth a defense from you, you're under no obligation to respond to them

I mean, say you're walking down the street, and some random heckler pulls a piles of insults out and throws them at you. You have options, you can smile and make a game of it, you can get angry and retaliate, you can punch them in the face (say, mod action)... and you can walk away.
