Nine year olds want to be a LOT of things. Basic arithmetic skills are logic-based. How about, if they want to be one of these things: they go ahead and learn from a marine biologist, surgeon, chemist, doctor, knee specialist, accountant, so on and so on and so on?
General education is farce.
Quote:I didn't take PE in school as a subject later on but I know the the later lessons involved much more than just doing the exercise and my friends who did take the subject enjoyed it and learned from it.
I didn't take PE when I realized I had the opportunity to not, because I really hated my penis and the body hair on my legs, both of which are very prominent in those uniforms.
Oh, I'm sure they learned soooooo much. How about they try their hand at fishing, farming, construction, surveying, or some other physically-demanding task and 'learn' more?
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
