I live in SC, so somewhat. Advertising it isn't safe, I've had friends with atheist decals on their car have them vandalized.

I must confess that, after one of my atheist book clubs read a book about the shift in marketing of Christianity from traditional churches to mega churches, I had some concerns. I wanted to attend a mega church to see what it was like. Who knows, I might even like it. (I used to go to a Unitarian church, but I just couldn't hang with getting up early on Sundays. Mega churches are different, and often have evening services and services during the week.) So anyway, I wanted to check them out. But at the time, I had several good-sized, colorful stickers of the goddess Kali in the windows of my car, and I was afraid that if I parked it near a mega church, some cloven hooved redneck would take me for a devil worshipper and smash my window or something. So I never did go. Some of my atheist friends thought I was being paranoid, but I think better safe than sorry.
