At the same time, the skill of these people, the morals of these people, and the availability of these people when we need them cannot be attributed solely to themselves.

Yes they can. At most it is to the people around them, as you say (I wouldn't be alive without my parents, or educated without them and a teacher and so on).

But then for you to just infer something beyond that based on nothing more than what you want to be true is just bad form, and really mean. Are you satan?
