You need to try my recipe

Heat a tablespoon of oil and 2 tablespoons of butter until it starts to foam
Cut 20 brussel sprouts in long slices and place in the pan for 5-10 mins
Throw in a few cloves of crushed garlic, sage, salt and pepper and 1/4 finely chopped red onion and cook for another 5
Top with parmesan cheese.
It's also good with some spinach leaves and smokey bacon.
