My history teacher used to say "You can find evidence to support any idea, no matter how stupid." She let us make crazy essays and if we could support it with even iffy sources, we'd get a good grade. Same is true of the Bible. You can choose to believe anything and find a way to cherry pick or twist words out of context from the Bible to back up your claim. That's why there are so many different versions of Christianity. When all these different interpretations just start to sound like insanity people just throw out the word "faith" like it's the answer for everything. It's there answer for everything really. Like the old saying, "If you're losing an argument, just insult the other persons grammar." With Christians it's "The answer to every question and argument is the word faith."
