Here's one guy's take on what's wrong with Nintendo now.
Their future does seem bleak.
That second article was pretty insightful. I have mixed feelings relative to what they said. I think they're spot on when they call out Nintendo in all their stubborness to embrace change, because I felt that way with the Wii. It's true that they can also be a sort of wild card with their innovations, which sometimes don't do too well. But going from the Wii to Wii U, I can only see good things and a strong direction in terms of future titles.
Maybe I'm not the best person to discuss this with though, because my gaming habits are fairly casual. Despite a lack of more mature games in the Wii, I still didn't regret having bought it because Monster Hunter 3 kept me entertained. Now with solid franchises being released on the Wii U, I really have nothing to complain about.
My simple needs are being fulfilled in the areas of better games, better graphics and innovation (where the touchscreen has been mostly a good influence on the gaming experience).
