Rgr that, and groups had a "racial:" perjorative for others. For example, "Soiux" is not what they called themselves..but what our scouts called them...and while jokes can be made about how closely it resembles "snake" it's more accurately "foreigner, barbarian, savage...". The Cherokee were (and are) "too light skinned", on and on it goes.

Neither you nor I would be interested in that, I'm guessing. The long and short of it is that native american cultures were still -human- cultures. They managed to do most of what we managed to do, including some of the shit some of us might wish we hand;t done.
