It being a right doesn't have any bearing on the whether or not something should be controlled by the market. Heathcare is a right in Venezuela but the public hospitals are a joke. Food is one of the most fundamental human rights and it's almost entirely market driven and nobody starves in the United States.

First off I used the word starve for a reason. Also used the word almost for a reason. I'm not against food stamps or similar programs that prevent hunger and that website that you linked to doesn't actually give any information about hunger in the US other than that poor people are on food stamps and other programs that prevents them from being hungry. I also think there are good reasons to be skeptical of such claims, considering the poor in the United States are actually more likely to be obese than any other income group.

It says nothing about starvation at all.

We could solve our social-economical problems if everyone earned precisely the same amount. None of this millions of dollars a year nonsense for someone who runs up and down a grassy field while the majority make less than minimum wage.

Societies have tried that and it has never worked out well. I would be extremely skeptical that it would work out well in the future.
