Christians make a huge deal out of Jesus' resurrection. Is it really that big of a deal? Can't the god that created the universe and all mankind do something a little more substantial than bring back to life one guy? It's not like he hadn't done it before with other people (someone in 1 Samuel was resurrected, right?) Hell, even Jesus resurrected Lazarus.
It's stated in the OT that god froze the sun and moon in the sky for 24 hours so that Joshua could have all the time he needed to slaughter the people he was after. Isn't that a little more substantial than resurrecting one guy?
And for that matter, why did Jesus resurrect himself? He stayed a few weeks with his apostles, then left them and went into Heaven. Why wouldn't he stay and show to the entire world that he came back to life? Why stay hidden after coming back to life, then leave? WTF? And he promised that his second coming would be in the lifetimes of the apostles. Well, unless there are 2,000 year old apostles still running around, Jesus didn't follow through with his ridiculous claim.
