You describe God as some kind of a cosmic batter. Somebody keeps throwing all sorts of terrible outcomes in the paths of people, but God keeps batting them out of the way.
Who is creating the terrible outcomes that God foresees? Who's the pitcher? And if people are supposed to have free will, why is he Intervening?
