Well I suppose if you include Alaska we're almost the same size.

According to the notes on that first link the ranking is disputed due to conflicting information. So I'll agree to a draw on it.

Actually the States has much better landmass than China with much more natural resources like water etc. China is very hilly all over and the landmass is ridden with landslides and earthquakes.

China's economy is seriously growing at an enormous rate and I've personally seen whole cities go up in almost no time. The Chinese built whole cities and there aren't even people to occupy them yet.

Look the states has done things on a very bid scale, if seen it, I was in the states doing a Engineering project fr South Africa about 15 years ago but I've never seen what the Chinese do in some places and especially how they do it. Utterly strange.
