(I genuinely want to know...I was thinking about this earlier and couldn't come up with any reasons, but perhaps my imagination is simply failing me today.)
There is only one thing and that's the threat of punishment or the promise of rewards after death.

Non religious organizations can make good men do bad things or bad men do good things, I could just point a gun at an unarmed bad or good man and say "Don't do that" and that would be fairly persuasive to any rational person to do what I say.

It's really a terrific holiday.... getting together with your family, exchanging gifts, great food.... and the message of peace and goodwill is highly positive. If only they would take the mythology out of it.
Celebratory days are organized by non religious people, and I don't think the removal or non existence of religion would effect celebrations.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
