It is more than a little strange to dismiss all of these relatively minor (though entirely obvious) absurdities yet steadfastly cling to the major obvious absurdity of God's existence.

If a book talks about headmasters turning into cats, and talks about boys flying around on brooms, it is obvious fiction.

But cherry picking is the way the believer allows themselves to cling to their god belief.
