Also, of course, in a (hypothetical) world where 80% of the people do not believe in a god, the term atheist would be unnecessary, yes... only the word theist would be used to refer to "the other guys".... the minority.
But, in this world, the word exists and its meaning is "person who does not believe in the existence of any god". That's what I am, that's one of my labels.
