I think I should put out a class on how to spot bullshit. That article is intended to make it sound like gay activists as a large group supported pedophiles in the 80s but the examples they give are of "While the now-defunct leftist alternative magazine "Pflasterstrand," " and of a few random quotes from people that hardly sounded significant. Then the ominious claim that they are now 'silent' on the subject, as though that somehow implies guilt. Someone not talking about something in no way means that they are hiding something. Why should they talk about it when chances are 95% of gay rights advocates have nothing to do with it.
