The question that I have is that, as an atheist, do these things have any real effect on what they believe to be true ( That God isn't real) or if these concepts are just irrelevant?
I always thought it was a generalization that christians turn to god because they're dying or had someone close to them die.
That's why I'd never argue with a christian in the street I don't want to crush the dreams of someone with cancer if they want to believe they're about to go to a theme park in the sky and want to shout about it I say let them do it.

It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
