What's even sadder was what I read on a relationship forum where this Christian woman was divorced, but believed that, according to the bible, she was not allowed to get married or have sex until her ex-husband dies because if she does then she's guilty of adultery, but it was perfectly OK for her husband to remarry. She was obviously very sad & lonely and wanted to start a new relationship, but her religious beliefs kept her shackled to a life of misery. The sad part was that she accepted the double standard that it's not adultery for her ex-husband to marry someone else, but she wasn't allowed to.
