Its god's will for all to be saved. I cannot be saved unless I first believe in god. I am afraid a book written about him is not enough, I am rather like Thomas, who Jesus deemed was worth showing up for.

Depends I suppose. Many Christians believe Jesus was/is god, and it seems many people saw him. You trying to tell me I can't see Jesus either?
