I've seen too much, endured too much, been given well more than my share of good and bad and been carried through it all. For this I can not be silent, no matter what the mundane may think or say.
I offer a similar experience for you to experience.
You see, this is what gets you in trouble here. You arrogantly assume that since I haven't turned to god, I haven't suffered as you have. I'm quite certain I can go toe to toe with you as far as experience goes, and I was able to overcome my struggles without belief in a god. It's these assumptions you make about other people and how others couldn't possibly have been through what you've been that make you appear closed-minded and narcissistic.
I have suffered just as you have. The only difference is I don't wish my suffering upon you in a desperate attempt to convince you that my religious views are correct.
Whether that particular day comes or not, I have not only found contentment in whatever I have been given, but through it all I also prize what has been taken away. So, I can truly rejoice and say:
The Lord gives and The Lord takes away, blessed be the name of The Lord.
