The earth is 4 billion years old. Nothing in that comic book demonstrates any lick of knowledge of modern science.
The earth can be 40 trillion years old for all the bible cares. It changes nothing. The bible describes the creation of Eden apart from the rest of the earth. Which would absolutely support the idea/need for a firiminate to cover and protect the Garden.
