My problem with that way of thinking is that you could predict almost anything you could think of, and if you wait long enough, it just might happen. I could predict that Israel will become an Arab state, and 1500 years from now, it might happen. Who can say for sure? I gave no timeframe, so it is applicable for all eternity. Maybe the 20th century creation of Israel isn't the one meant in the bible. Maybe it will break up in 50 years, then come back together in the 22nd century? Not likely? Can you predict the future? There's just too much vagueness to believe any prophecies. Remember, Tyre was meant to be washed out to sea and Jesus was supposed to return in the lifetimes of his apostles, and those things never happened. Or were they just metaphors? =P
As you say it's your problem. You can predict anything you want to but like many others it will fail. The scriptures clearly state that the nation of Israel will be restored again and it will be permanent, and do you really believe that a prophecy that's over two thousand years old is coincidence. It's never happened before so there is no president to establish it as a coincidence. Jesus never said He would return in their life time, He said they would see the coming of His kingdom and they did. Christ's kingdom is the church and the church is the people, a king can not have a kingdom without people, so the disciples saw the kingdom (church) come into existence.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
