But he was also being regaled as a god and a king by adoring masses. When the pharisees grumbled about this, Jesus told them that if the people had not raised their voices in praise, "the stones would cry out." How humble is it to require praise so desperately that you would've demanded that inanimate objects pick up the slack if the locals hadn't been enthusiastic enough?
Did you ever give thought to a different meaning of what Christ said. Let's look at this one, as impossible as it is for stones to speak, it was as impossible for the people not to praise Christ.
