I didn't say always be nice. But unless you live in a bubble you know theists that even if you hate their crappy claims, you get along with them to some degree.
Christainity isn't the only religion in the world, and you can find tribal beefs between Buddhists and Hindus or Buddhists and Muslims. Muslims and Jews or Muslims vs Muslims.
Japan and China have their superstitions as well and they are not exactly friends.
Humans ALL OF US are part of the same range of behavior, both good and bad, always have been, always will be. Hate the claim, bash the claim, ridicule the claim, I am fine with that. But civility isn't about force.
I hate religion, I do not hate all religious people because they hold positions I hate. My mother is Catholic and I do hate the fact she believes, but I don't say "fuck you mom". I lover her more than anyone in the world, even if I think her belief is bullshit.
Deal with reality the way it is, not the way you want it to be. It is good to vent and bitch, and religion does need a secular leash on it through scrutiny and blasphemy. But never think anymore than they can think, that we can totally rid the world of each other.
