Stuff like this is interesting because it beautifully illustrates how hardwired our brains are to detect patterns and to try to connect those patterns to each other and find meaning in them- the very creativity that makes all our advancements possible. It can go into hyperdrive for sure, but it's a stone fact of our nature that we will seek pattern and meaning in nearly everything we look at. A predisposition to finding patterns that support a bias is also pretty normal.
