Also, here's why I think people don't respond (unless they are via PM and I don't know it), or as much as they would if it was here.
If a person sends out a PM, they feel obligated to continue to respond whatever you keep asking. It's more personal. More fatigue. If it's here, since it's meant for everybody, people can lurk if they wish, click a kudo here and there, and respond as they wish. Less fatigue and sense of "responsibility", per se. PM is best when it comes easy... like when I want to PM someone to see how they are doing, because fuck, I care for my online buddies (
). PM is no fun when it feels like homework. Homework that you enter voluntarily. That's just wistful thinking.
