Oddly enough I don't have a problem doing that. It's when I am asked my opinion on the matter that we get into trouble. Because I can hold off on judgment for the sake of diplomacy, but I will not lie for the sake of keeping the peace.
Quick example I thought of: A friend of mine has a mother that believes in reincarnation. She firmly believes that in her previous life she was a Jewish boy gassed in Auschwitz. I can say "Okay" and leave it at that, but when she asked me if I believed in that I just told her flatout that I see no evidence to support something as reincarnation.
