You are making the positive claim that we are infinite, that is what needs to be backed up. What is infinite in this universe? Nothing really.
People, animals, plants die every day.
Species go extinct.
Planets cool and no longer stay active.
Suns burn out.
Galaxies will fade.
And eventually, all of the celestial bodies in this universe will separate and fade into black.
Yet we are infinite? Us small hairy creatures located on a small blue spec are somehow the only thing in this entire universe that gets to live forever?
Sounds like wishful thinking.
