But if you're going to just reroute your belief around each and every obstacle by retracting your claim just outside the reach of scientific knowledge, you'll lose your rational justification for believing it, and if you keep doing it, your credibility will soon follow.

If your god only works in ways indistinguishable from entirely natural processes, how can you possibly tell which events are made to happen by god, and which are just natural? And how can you tell he's there at all?
